Paint Your Own Ceramics

Choose an item to paint from our huge selection of unfinished bisque pieces.  Prices range from $5.00 figurines to $75.00 platters.

No Hidden Fees

Unlike some paint-your-own-pottery studios, Earth, Glaze & Fire does NOT charge hidden “studio use fees”  in addition to the individual bisque item price. The price you see on each bisque piece is all-inclusive.

Pick Your Paints and Create!

Stamps, stencils, photos, and idea books are all available to help you unleash your creativity.

When your design is complete, our friendly staff will put the finishing touches on your piece by firing it in one of our kilns. Most pieces are ready for pick-up within 7 days — allow more time during holiday seasons.

Finished pieces are food safe! Shipping is available.

Glass Fusing

First, choose a Glass Base in the size, shape and color you prefer. Bases come in black, white, and clear. You can choose a square or round in several sizes.

The price of your piece depends on the base size you choose. Also decide if you would like to have your glass piece slumped into a shape like a bowl, plate, or votive.

Create Your Design

Glass comes in different colors and can be transparent or opaque. Shapes can be cut with tools or you can use pre-cut chips, strips, rods (pencil thick strips), noodles (thin strips), or frit (powdery glass).

Stack your glass pieces in layers, mosaic style, to the base with a little Elmer’s glue. Check out our samples or glass idea books!

Fire it Up!

Your glass will go into the kiln to be flattened or fused. If you desire to slump your glass into a shape, it will go through the kiln a second time. Please see staff to inquire about glass turn-around time.

Studio Fees for Glass Fusing

 

There are no studio fees with glass fusing projects. The price of the glass project depends on the base size that you choose. We do charge $8.00 per bottle if you bring it into the studio.

Our staff can provide instruction and get you started in minutes! No previous experience or classes necessary! Kid-safe glass is available for glass projects

Finished pieces are food safe! Shipping is available

Clay Pricing

Studio fees for clay projects - which include 1 lb of clay - are:

Hand build – $20.00 per person

Pottery wheel – $25.00 per person -using EG&F clay

                          **It is recommended that you call ahead to reserve time and EG&F staff for groups larger than 3 people.          

** Firing fees are included in the studio rate for items created on the pottery wheel.  Handbuild items are ‘make & take’ in most instances.  An additional firing fee may apply for exceptionally large pieces created in the wet clay studio that require more space in the kiln. 

We do outside firings as long as the clay pieces are cone 04 or 06.  All Artists must sign ‘hold harmless’ agreement for clay items fired. 

Hours of Operation

We are open Tuesday through Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Plan to arrive no later than 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturdays, and no later than 3:30 p.m. on Sundays to allow adequate time to complete your projects before we close.
